Merseyflow and Merseylink have joined forces to donate £4,000 worth of toys and gifts to Halton Family Hubs’ Christmas Toy Appeal.
Each organization is contributing £2,000 to the appeal, while merseyflow is also encouraging staff and customers to donate new toys at its Walk-in Centre in Manor Park, Runcorn.
Donations must be new and unopened and can be dropped off at the Walk-in Centre until 7pm on Monday 8th December. The appeal welcomes toys and gifts suitable for children and young people up to the age of 18.
Merseyflow employees are already supporting the campaign by donating toys and Christmas presents.
This is the eighth year that merseyflow has supported Halton Family Hubs during the festive season. Over that time, hundreds of donations have been collected to help make Christmas brighter for local children and families in need.
Helen Williams, Marketing Manager at merseyflow, said: “Last year, the generosity of our staff and customers was incredible, enabling us to donate 80 sacks of toys and gifts to local children in need.
“We hope people will get behind the appeal again this year and help us support this excellent cause. Our local community is extremely important to us, so we wanted to give the campaign an early boost with our own donation and help ensure every child in Halton has the Christmas they deserve.”
Liam Geoghegan, General Manager of the Merseylink Consortium, said: “We are delighted to join merseyflow once again in supporting Halton Family Hubs' Christmas Toy Appeal. We have backed the campaign for several years and are pleased to contribute again to such a worthwhile cause. Every child deserves a present at Christmas, and we hope many more people will be inspired to donate.”
Gemma Helps, Senior Early Help Officer at Widnes Family Hub, said: “We are extremely grateful to merseyflow and Merseylink for their generous support of our Christmas Toy Appeal. A simple gift can bring so much joy, and every donation—however small—will help us make sure children across Halton have a present to open on Christmas morning.”
The merseyflow Walk-in Centre is open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. It is located at 9 Howard Court, Manor Park, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 1SJ.
